Having a Blast in Prince Edward Island

So a few months ago my good friend Ryan Szulc, gave me a call and said: “Feel like heading out to P.E.I with me and Madeleine to shoot a cookbook?” My answer was hell yes! What a great opportunity to shoot with Chef Michael Smith, one of Canada’s most well known and respected chefs, for his upcoming cookbook.

Flash forward to today, January 13, day 6 of our shoot and having a blast in snowy gorgeous P.E.I. We are shooting long shoot days, and having great nights in the cottage with the entire food photography crew. Ping Pong is our sport of choice and I am quite impressed at how good we are getting….or I should say I am getting! Pictionary made it’s cameo and I am secretly hoping it will be revisited 🙂

We have 8 more days to go and the shots we are getting are amazing. I am so excited to see this book come to life. Cookbook shoots are usually long and gruelling but so satisfying as well. It’s a great chance to collaborate with great people and get your creative juices flowing. Look for the cookbook in the summer of 2013.
