Pulling an All Nighter!

Shooting television commercials through the night is never an easy task. The key to surviving? COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE!!!

I have done  a few night shoots at this point, but this most recent one has been the most rewarding. The food falls second to a love story between a young couple who spend the evening exploring the city. Once the food comes on the screen it is most definitely the star and steals the show. I love when a creative team, director, and client all come together and create a beautiful spot like this Egg McMuffin spot. Cossette Communications and McDonald’s Canada did a great job with this one!

The crew started at 8pm and finished at 9am. The food styling team got a bit spoiled and got to start at 11:30pm. Our food needed to be ready to go for sunrise at 6:30am. Everything had to work for that beautiful shot as the sun comes up. Getting to see the final product, the light that shines in could not be more perfect. Thankfully our food worked out with no issues. Big thanks to my great team: Andrea Murray, Christine Mack, and newest addition to the team Katrina Johns for endlessly cooking eggs and toasting english muffins. What a night!
